Yosef G. Gurevitch, Director MSW, LCSW
Yosef is a cognitive behavioral therapist. He has been serving the community since 2003. His trainings include the Practicum in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), formerly known as the professional internship program, and the Teacher Development Intensive; an advanced MBSR teacher training, at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness. He has also completed an intensive residential training program in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) with Zindel Segal, Co-Developer MBCT. In addition, he attended training programs by Steven Hayes, Kelly Wilson and Kirk Strosahl, Developers of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other senior ACT trainers. He is also trained to practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Elchanan Erlanger MSW, LSW
Elchanan Erlanger graduated with honors from Long Island University with a Masters in Social Work. He followed the substance abuse track in which he completed his hours for his
CASAC-T. Elchanan is trained in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Elchanan’s skilled and wise counseling, coupled with his genuine warmth and ability to connect with children, are the strongest assets he brings to the Center for Mindfulness and CBT. In addition to working with children directly Elchanan provides excellent and clear guidance for parents to integrate the goals of therapy at home. Aside from working as a clinician, Elchanan is passionate about being a fourth grade Rebbe at the Clifton Cheder. He is beloved by the children, respected by the staff, and valued by the parents.
Avrohom J. Weiss MA. MFT
Avrohom brings a rich experience as an educator, relationship counselor, and psychotherapist.Avrohom works extensively with couples experiencing marital discord and discontent, as well as providing Family Therapy and parental psychoeducation to parents and families going through distress. He is a clinical member of the Emotionally Focused Therapy Center of New Jersey. Avrohom works as well with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression and other forms of distress and is trained in the practice of Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (E&RP) for the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Avrohom’s combined experience as an educator and psychotherapist enables him to serve as a compassionate helper in many diverse settings.
